What do you like about working for the RCMP?

The variety; the people; the flexibility with the hours. The fact that I can walk to work.

How do you feel you contribute to public safety with doing your job every day?

This job is all about doing your best to help people.

Has the job changed from when you first started?

It has changed—when I started, we used typewriters. Now everything is digital. There are more programs to learn now. That has definitely changed.

Do people in town know what you do?

They kind of know what I do, and I’ve had phone calls about rumours of my retiring. There is some interest, I think. When that day comes, people will apply. So that’s good. I hope they do.

“This job is all about doing your best to help people.”
