What do you do?

CPIC stands for Canadian Police Information Centre. CPIC operators respond to internal and external requests for CPIC data in support of Police Operations through authorized secure communication portals so that any police agency across the country can access the information.

What did you do before joining the RCMP?

I worked in public relations and started my own photography and website design business.

I figured I’d do a 90-day contract, and I ended up loving it and got hired full-time. I love working with people.

What do you love about the job?

I love the people, the environment and working with both the officers and my co-workers.

It’s fast-paced, it’s fun and it’s quick. It’s just a whole lot of fun in one day. Even when you’re dealing with stressful things, we somehow have a way to make the most of it and get through it together. It’s a tight community.

“I can come in and do my job, and I get to work with a great group.”
