What do you do every day?
Fulfilling orders from the people in the building. When they submit an order form, whatever they need we try to provide. We are just trying to make them happy.
What do you like about your job?
The people I work with in the office. They are all cool guys. Helping the people from the building also makes me happy.
What do you like about working for the RCMP?
The safety of the job, first of all. Getting older, you have to think about that. The flexibility is also pretty good, and the work environment is great.
I am an immigrant; I came 20 years ago from Romania. I was working in the Air Force for 10 years over there. My first position in Chilliwack I had to distribute lots of carabines and tasers and lots of bullets. I guess not everybody is very comfortable handling those things, but I am. So, with my prior experience, the job was something I was qualified for and the RCMP is a pretty good organization—it’s a place I am proud to work for.
