What do you like about your job?

I like the interaction with my co-workers. We have a good team here and the exposure to different things that you wouldn’t get in the private sector. For instance, the RCMP owns many different types of specialty vehicles that you’ll never see anywhere else: this is really appealing to me.

Why is your job important?

My work happens in the background. Everyone sees police officers out, doing their very important job, but they need equipment to do that job. Police vehicles are required to respond to day-to-day demands, and they must be well-maintained. That’s where our team comes in.
