What is your job?

I am the District Office Manager for the West District. I deal with public complaints. I handle staffing requests. I do a lot of behind-the-scenes work, like paperwork to make sure people get paid. It’s the little things.

I don’t investigate, but I do all the background work, like sending out letters and tracking things for the district.

What do you like about your job?

I enjoy what I’m doing now; it’s challenging. It’s different work, I’m learning new stuff. It’s a totally different job from any I’ve worked before.

I like the people I work with. The group we have now is amazing. It’s probably the best management crew we’ve had. I think when you have good management, it makes a world of difference. I also get to work with all the Detachment Commanders.

Basically, we get to work with everybody, which is nice. I feel honored to be able to work for the RCMP.
